Spun-Copper Cerametallic Woofers These woofers are designed to be rigid, yet lightweight, for minimal distortion and enhanced efficiency. The cones are mated to a dual-layer, copper-wound voice coil for augmented conductivity. The woofers are also housed in a non-resonating, stamped-steel basket that's secured to a large magnet motor to help improve efficiency and reduce distortion, and are matched to the horn-loaded tweeter.
Vented Tweeter Design The vented tweeter housing is engineered to reduce standing waves that create unwanted harmonics, resulting in augmented detail and clarity in high-frequency reproduction. Tractrix Port Utilizing Tractrix geometry, this port helps provide efficient, fast air transfer from the cabinet, reducing port noise for punchy low frequencies.
The Tractrix port has inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port for cleaner, more powerful bass. Bi-wiring separates high- and low-frequency current into separate speaker cables to reduce intermodulation distortion for clearer midrange, while bi-amping allows for customization using outboard crossovers when using separate amplifiers.
